The CVCN Volunteer Coordination System (VCS) is a collection of volunteer management best practices adapted to successfully match spontaneous, unaffiliated volunteer offers with the volunteer needs of Colorado Voluntary Organizations in Disaster (COVOAD) member agencies. The goal of the VCS is to facilitate an effective and mutually satisfying volunteer experience for the spontaneous volunteer and the volunteer organizations served.

The VCS is scalable to fulfill its supportive role when and where needed, whether at the local or state level. The VCS is activated by requests for assistance with spontaneous, unaffiliated volunteers surges. To be best prepared, establish a relationship and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CVCN before a disaster strikes. To learn more about the services and help CVCN can provide your agency,  please contact info@cvcnetwork.org.
